Transport Allocator

**THE CLIENT**
Our client is an International Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker with offices in Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne that provide a diverse transportation and logistics platform for its customers around the world.

**THE ROLE**
Reporting to the National Transport Allocator, you be responsible for coordinating FCL & LCL movements of import and export containers & consignments.
Your main responsibility will be to book slots to organise the daily runs of truck drivers to ensure on time delivery to customer.

**THE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate FCL movements of import and export containers.
- Coordinate LCL transport
- Allocate trucks and liaise with drivers.
- Ensure container slot bookings are checked and correct (relevant to wharf/container parks).
- De-hiring of containers.
- Timely and accurate updating of our transport management system.
- Optimise fleet operations.
- Other duties as when required.

**ABOUT YOU**.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a similar role extremely advantageous.
- Experience using ONESTOP is required.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Have a high level of attention to detail.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with Microsoft Excel and Outlook with an ability to learn and understand new programs.
- Willing to learn and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- Knowledge within transport specific trends in Melbourne.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Strong focus on customer service.
