City of Parramatta Council operates two aquatic facilities in Epping and Parramatta, with a NEW aquatic and wellness facility in Parramatta due to open mid-2023.

- Epping Aquatic Centre is open full days during summer and shorter varied hours in the winter.
- Macarthur Girls High School Pool in Parramatta is open varying hours throughout the year as we partner with the Department of Education in operating this facility.

The Aquatics Team at City of Parramatta currently have positions available for Casual Pool Lifeguards and Casual Swim Instructors to work at Epping Aquatic Centre in Epping and Macarthur Girls High School Pool in Parramatta.

City of Parramatta is offering a very exciting opportunity for driven and motivated individuals. With the growing Aquatics department of City of Parramatta, we are looking to take on staff to be able to train and mentor to be become future leaders in the aquatic industry. Successful applicants will benefit from the management of a very experienced team who are committed to training, safety and most of all job satisfaction.

**About the roles**

**The Lifeguard role is responsible for**:

- Day to day operations of the centres
- Pool Supervision
- Cleansing and maintenance of the facilities
- Providing excellent customer service
- Facilitating the running of programmes

**The Swim Instructor role is responsible for**:

- Teaching children, adolescents and adults and other members of our community swimming & water safety
- Maintaining the safety of those in the classes
- Providing excellent customer service

**About You**:

- Pool Lifeguard Licence and/or Swimming & Water Safety Teacher Licence (AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia or Royal Life Saving)
- Working with Children Check
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate (Pool Lifeguard only)

**What’s on offer**

We are offering an attractive casual hourly rate from $37.23 inclusive of casual loading plus weekend and public holiday penalty rates
