**Role Description/Criteria**

We seek a passionate 0.4 FTE teacher of Well-being & Mental Health with a strong work ethic to join our team at St George Preca School. The role is a contract position covering two days per week (negotiable). The position commences at the start of the 2023 school year.

The role of the Well-being & Mental Health teacher will be to:
? Promote a whole school approach to mental health and well-being to students, staff, and families

? Support teachers and school staff to expand their capacity to embed evidence-based mental health strategies and programs and build mental health literacy to identify and support primary school students with mental health concerns.

? In collaboration with the school psychologist, coordinate clear referral pathways internally (within the school) and externally (to community services) for students identified as requiring further assessment and intervention.

? Support teachers in the classroom with the implementation of the Berry St Educational Model

? Contribute to the school’s existing well-being team.

Special Requirements

The successful applicant will:

- have an understanding of the ethos and traditions of the Catholic Church
- have VIT registration
- be accredited to teach RE or committed to achieving this accreditation
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Commit to St George Preca School's Child Safe policies and the Code of Conduct
