Children’s Village is a family owned expanding business with three centres in Sydney’s West (Toongabbie, Girraween and Guildford). Children’s Village Guildford is a 39 placed centre and easily accessed by train.

We are currently seeking a diploma qualified educator that understands the importance of our vision and philosophy to enable our children to experience play based learning that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Framework as well as recognised theorists. We pride ourselves on high quality education and care for children, forming strong relationships with children and their families.

The successful applicant will help provide high quality educational programs, be dedicated, passionate and have great work ethic. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to form meaningful relationships with families, children and other educators. They should have a firm understanding of the observation, programming and planning cycle, The National Quality Framework, current childhood theorists.

This role is Full time, Monday to Friday and shifts will vary from 6:45am-6:15pm (8hrs in length)

Your key priorities will be to:

- Planning learning environments, setting up activities, preparing and cleaning away materials and supplies;
- Daily/weekly planning and objectives;
- Evaluate programming;
- Completing Regular Observations on children and following these experiences up with engaging experiences
- Completing the room daybook;
- Creating a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment;
- Maintaining a high level of health & safety standards
- Food preparation as needed.
- Adding to the Centres QIP; and
- Mentoring other educators such as trainees

Qualifications/Requirements for the Role
- Early Childhood Education Qualification
- Diploma (ACECQA Approved) or working towards
- Child Protection Training
- CHCPRT001
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Preferred
- Current understanding of the National Quality Framework, Early childhood Education and Care Laws and Regulations and the New Assessment and Rating Process
- Ensuring a focused approach to embed exceeding practices as per National Quality Standards.
- High level of written correspondence and comprehension including high level of documentation skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of the planning cycle, observation techniques and making essential links to children's learning outcomes.
- A commitment to best practice.
- Demonstrated initiative and decision-making abilities
- Ability to time-manage and meet deadlines

**Salary**: $44,254.00 - $68,585.00 per year
