About You

You will have completed a nursing qualification between 1 June 2023 and 31 January 2024 and meet all APHRA requirements to practice as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse, including the registration standard for English language skills, prior to the advertised program start date. You will be keen to commence your career in either the clinical or perioperative specialty streams and be willing to commit to a full time or part time 0.8FTE fixed term employment contract with MQ Health. You expect to be available to commence employment with MQ Health on 13 February 2024

Registered Nurse Position:
- Practice demonstrates effective, progressive, and knowledgeable use of professional standards, ethical, cultural safety/sensitivity, and relevant legislated requirements.- Accepts responsibility for safety and quality of nursing practice and conduct.- Strong leadership skills, taking the initiative in resolving issues/problems- Demonstrates a willingness to work positively within a team to achieve team goals and the provision of excellence in care/service delivery- Ensures that all documentation is accurate and completed in a professional and timely manner- Evaluates performance in a planned and systematic way and seeks feedback from customers in relation to the service delivered.

Enrolled Nurse Position:
- Ensures practice is within the scope of practice and adheres to legislated requirements and relevant ethical codes, policies and procedural guidelines.- Contributes to the development of care plans in collaboration with the registered nurse and health consumers, and clarifies responsibilities for planned care with the registered nurse- Demonstrates a willingness to work positively within a team to achieve team goals and the provision of excellence in care/service delivery- Demonstrates and practices effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills and actively develops good listening skills- Ensures that all documentation is accurate and completed in a professional and timely manner- Evaluates performance in a planned and systematic way and seeks feedback from customers in relation to the service delivered.

Role Specific Conditions- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered (Division 1) or Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) and approved qualification for administration of medication.- Working with Children Check- Occupational assessment screening and vaccination against specified diseases- Criminal History Check
