The Freight Technology Lead works closely with the Freight Product Owner and provides a single point of accountability across Planning, Build and run for all Freight product sand their underlying technology sub systems. Within this accountability, the role is the lead iteration manager, working with all product owns to define and prioritise stories for the development squads.

The Freight Technology Lead is accountable (through their squad) for the delivery of new features, enhancements, initiatives and accepting completed work as done with validation from the product owner and product users. They guide and mentor cross functional squads and vendors to ensure features are delivered as per requirements and products meet their service levels and are secure and resilient by design. They own all Non-functional aspects of Freight products and ensure that the design of the system will deliver the required service levels, availability and security requirements.

The Freight Technical Lead is a leader with a customer centric outlook, responsible for developing a team culture of continuous improvement and innovation. They will investigate emerging trends and innovations that will deliver strategic advantage in the Air Cargo and Cargo Terminal Operator business sand advise the Product owner and business on the technology capability.
- 5+ years’ experience in an Agile environment
- 3+ years as an agile Iteration Manager working within a scaled agile environment (or equivalent work experience)
- 3+ years in delivery roles work with Agile vendors
- Expert stakeholder management skills across both business and technical functions
- Solid experience in operational service management
- Experience in coaching and modelling Agile mind-set and ways of working
- Proficient in multiple Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, design thinking, HCD and other frameworks
- Experience designing and facilitating fit for purpose workshops that deliver defined outcomes - Knowledge of Air Cargo or Logistics business domain
- Expert stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Strong communications skills both verbal and written
- Able to work cross-functionally and align business unit processes to enterprise business processes
- Strong negotiation and conflict skills
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Strong people leadership skills and experience
