Principal Analyst, Aged Care Costing

The role Reporting to the Manager, Activity Costing you will undertake projects to facilitate the development of core aged care patient classification, counting and costing policies, procedures and implementation of this dataset into costing systems, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of patient costs within enterprise business systems.
In addition, you will undertake specific work projects and assignments (as required) and supervise the work of other staff assigned, ensuring timely and quality outputs whilst providing expert advice to Hospital and Health Services on the roll-out, implementation and enhancement of aged care patient level costing data in accordance with National Hospital Patient Costing Standards.
The successful personYou will have experience in planning, implementing and maintaining product level costing systems within a complex service delivery organisation, preferably healthcare with the ability to critically analyse and interpret data and information to undertake complex costing and funding analysis and reporting.
High level database management and reporting skills (particularly relational databases) with knowledge of hospital information management systems, data structures and health statistics will see you succeed in this role.
