The Placement Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the institutes processes and systems to ensure that all students requiring placement have appropriate and timely clinical placements.

This position focuses on excellence in learner support, industry engagement and educational administration centred around the work placement requirements for various program areas.

Key Accountabilities include:

- Work in partnership with the Education Managers in teaching departments to ensure that the Institute arranges placements with the appropriate number and type of providers to meet training obligations
- Liaise with the placement organisations to establish a process and system that ensures all required Memorandum of Understanding and Clinical Agreements are established between the clinical placement providers and Chisholm Institute
- Keep abreast of Government policy changes and industry developments and trends to capitalise on potential opportunities
- Enhance the student experience to improve engagement early on and assist learners to interact with their academic and social environment to prevent attrition and encourage success
- Complete workplace visits during workplace/clinical placements to support students and enhance learner skills
- Positively represent and participate in Open Nights, at information nights, conferences, community networks and other events both in Australia and internationally

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have qualifications, skills, and experience in:

- Relevant vocational qualification and substantial relevant and recent experience. This includes, but is not limited to,
- Early Childhood Education
- Nursing
- Disability Services
- Community Services
- Cyber Security
- Engineering
- Aged Care/Individual Support
- Trades
- Commercial Cookery
- High quality oral and written communication skills e.g. writing reports and instructions, or providing guidance
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and display conflict negotiation skills
- Effective self-management skills including the ability to prioritise, problem solve, meet deadlines and follow through with student queries
- Analytical capability, organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible working style with the ability to multi task and problem solve, meet deadlines and follow through with student queries
- An empathy for the needs of a diverse student population
- Strong action orientation and results focused
- Confident telephone manner
