**Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator
Position Title OSHC Coordinator
Status Permanent Part Time, FTE to be negotiated with the successful applicant
At least 27 hours per week, including mornings and afternoons in the OSHC
Classification SSO Grade 3
Reporting to Director of the ELC and Head of Junior School
Role Description
The Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation and oversight of
OSHC including Holiday Care programs for Early Learning Centre and Junior School students. The OSHC
Coordinator is the responsible person during OSHC opening hours.
All staff of the School are expected to support the School’s ethos; its commitment to child safety; its mission to develop

flourishing, connected learning community that enables each student to achieve her best, her way.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
- Support the Anglican ethos of the School.
- Live the School values of Courage, Commitment, Community and Growth.
- Comply with School policies and procedures and the Walford Staff Code of Conduct.
- Embody the School’s commitment to child safety and actively contribute to creating and maintaining a child
- safe environment.- Be a member of and actively contribute to the Early Learning Centre and Junior School teams.
- Work with staff to ensure the implementation and maintenance of School policies and procedures.
- Be an active member of relevant professional organisations and engage in relevant professional learning.
- Actively build the profile of the OSHC within the School.
Learning and Teaching- Plan high quality educational programs within the guidelines set out by the National Quality Framework.
- Ensure the program is compliant with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National
- Regulations.- Implement educational programs using approved Learning Frameworks: The Early Years Learning Framework
- (Belonging, Being, Becoming) and the Framework for School Aged Care (My Time Our Place).- Use of a range of strategies to meet students’ individual learning needs.
- Implement relevant experiences, materials and resources.
- Maintain and document weekly plans in shared drives for all programs and also display these for parents.
- Plan regular meeting times with staff.
- Attend regular meetings with the Head of Junior School and the Early Learning Centre Director to reflect on and
- discuss program plans.- Work closely with the Walford Early Learning Centre Director and manage the OSHC learning spaces.
- Liaise with Junior School and ELC staff regularly to discuss student needs.
Administration- Develop and maintain a Quality Improvement Plan for the service in accordance with the National Quality
- Standards regulatory requirements.- Maintain, review and adhere to the Walford OSHC Policies and Procedures in accordance with ACECQA
- standards and regulations.- Establish, maintain and review relevant records and documentation in accordance with the National Quality
Standards regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Meet with the NQF Assessment Rating and Compliance Officer during assessment visits.
- Ensure the service’s philosophy, policies and procedures are implemented, revised and updated in accordance
- with current regulations and requirements.- Manage all OSHC and Holiday Care bookings and attendance through third party online management system
- Xplor.- Ensure fees and child care subsidies (CCS) are correctly accounted for, monitored and reported to meet all funding
- requirements.- Attend relevant meetings and school functions as required.
- Implement and maintain staff rosters.
- Ensure all staff are aware of their professional responsibilities.
- Determine the Responsible Person at the OSHC / Holiday Care service at all times.
- Demonstrate leadership and people management behaviours and skills.
- Manage OSHC and Holiday Care budgets.
- Implement, coordinate and oversee Holiday Care services, programmes and activities that meet the individual
- and group needs of the children including excursions/incursions.
- Pastoral Care- Respect the diverse backgrounds, experiences, abilities and needs of all children.
- Promote positive attitudes and wellbeing amongst students through the pastoral care program.
- Develop and support a safe and supportive early learning environment.
- Maintain the health and safety of all students within the program.
- Ensure the snacks available at the service comply with the Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents.
- Ensure that effective policies and procedures are in place to manage incidents and emergencies and that these
