**About the **Team**

The Property Team manages the Australian Public Service Commissions (the Commission) capital works and facilities management across several locations in Canberra and Sydney. The team work collaboratively with stakeholders and service providers to provide adequate support to the Commission and its employees, through services including mail deliveries, ongoing maintenance and cleaning, emergency procedures, and SES Parking arrangements.

The APS Academy Campus program is a pilot of modern, technologically driven and collaborative working environment. The aim is to provide opportunities to those undertaking undergraduate studies or training through the APS entry level programs. This will enable the Commission to provide valuable first-hand experience in the APS, in their chosen field of data and digital. The Campus may also house staff from a variety of APS agencies working remotely from their substantive agencies.

**About the Role**

The Commission are seeking an experienced and passionate Office Coordinator for both our Newcastle and Townsville APS Academy Campuses. The Office Coordinator will work remotely from the Commission and will be autonomous in providing administrative, property and enabling support to campus staff.

As Campus Office Coordinator, you will coordinate the human resource, property, security, facilities, and asset management for the campus. You will support Campus staff by engaging with Campus managers and agencies to best assist in coordination of the remote working requirements and liaising with the partner university to resolve any property issues that impact on productivity, safety and security.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Developing strong working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering induction services to Campus staff ensuring property, security and work health and safety aspects are covered during induction.
- Coordinating the day-to-day management of the Campus including:

- Facilities coordination including ordering stationery, room bookings, desk setup, and logging property maintenance issues with the facilities maintenance provider.
- Security including coordinating staff and visitors passes.
- Work health and safety management including emergency evacuation procedures as well as the First Aid Officer for the Campus.
- Campus event coordination.
- Supporting the establishment of the physical location.

**Desirable Skills, Experience & Qualifications**

Previous experience in an appropriate corporate area (e.g. human resources, finance, contract management, building fit out), operational, people management or client facing experience, is strongly desired for this role. Demonstrated experience in developing workplace culture and encouraging APS values and behaviours will be well regarded.

Qualifications in cultural sensitivity and disability awareness will be well-looked upon, although training will be provided.
