About the opportunity Our Hobart baking facility is searching for a motivated Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Coordinator to join their diverse team. In this role, you will Champion Safety, Health, Environment and Quality assurance on-site to foster a ‘never walk by' culture.
Partnering with the operations and logistics teams to manage the day-to-day health and safety systems within the facility. This role has a strong emphasis on coaching key personnel and line managers in the implementation and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
Key responsibilities
- Provide Site Operations, Supply Chain Depots & Field Sales management & personnel with basic advice and technical support to continuously reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, SH&E incidents and environmental incidents
- Manage the QMS
- Drive the day-to-day Health and Safety systems for the site
- Maintain and develop the legal compliance and food safety plans within the site
- Increase GMP awareness and adherence across the site
- Role Model and champion safety and quality across the site
- Complete complaint investigations and manage the quality and food safety in production

About you
- A positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
- Proven experience in Quality and Safety Fields (FMCG industry desirable)
- Exposure to running quality audits in manufacturing and experience in HACCP / BRC audits
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence change
- An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
