About the role:
- Inspect animal carcasses, meat and meat products to ensure compliance with government and industry standards with respect to quality and health.
- Ensure all compliance requirements of meat inspection are met.
- Undertake and successfully graduate from a Certificate 4 in Meat Safety Inspection.
- Work in conjunction with our Process Partners to ensure continued delivery of exceptional products.
About you:
- Have a strong eagerness to learn.
- Reliable and able to work within a team or individual environment with reporting protocols.
- Physically fit and happy to get a pre-employment medical.
- Have the mental strength and the ability to constantly focus on the task at hand.
- Able to pass a national police check, as this is a government authorised position.
- Q Fever vaccination is required. If you have not been previously vaccinated, you must be willing to participate in the vaccination process.
Previous experience in any of the following would be an advantage, but not mandatory:
- A background or previous training in a related field such as a science discipline, veterinary or animal science training or similar
- Knife skills including sharpening, boning or slicing
- Experience in meat processing, butchery or small good making

**Salary**: $56,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

- 10 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Brooklyn VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Meat Industry or Agricultural: 1 year (preferred)
