As a unique opportunity for the LAB3 team, we are working closely with a Federal Government department who requires an AWS Architect to lead the design and implementation for an enterprise solutions on the AWS platform. The focus for this Consultant will be to oversee an AWS landing zone implementation and make strategic recommendations about technology areas for improvements.

This is a short term engagement best suited to a daily rate contractor open to an initial 3 month contract. NV1 Security Clearance also required.

**Role Requirements**:

- Lead and advise on strategic client engagements to understand business requirements and focus on designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions using AWS services. This involves selecting the appropriate AWS services, reviewing existing, creating architectural diagrams, and documenting the design.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal development teams, operations teams, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in ensuring best practices are followed for security and compliance.
- Advise on cost optimization strategies by analyzing AWS pricing models, recommending cost-effective service usage, and optimizing resource utilization.

Skills and capabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in AWS cloud technologies
- Extensive experience with architecting ICT solutions and Federal Government systems within a complex enterprise ICT environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of architectural frameworks and governance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups, including the capability to build effective and collaborative working relationships across the Department and Portfolio
