**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Property Services team is responsible for the provision of professional and expert support in the management and delivery of property advice regarding Council's Property portfolio including leasing, licencing, acquisition and disposal of property.
We have an exciting opportunity within the team for an experienced and professional person to join us in this role. Reporting to the Coordinator Property Services, this role works closely in partnership with internal and external stakeholders on all property transactions.
The successful applicant will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in property economics or a property related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in property related dealings such as local government, commercial leasing and transactions, commercial portfolio management, commercial sales, commercial valuation experience, commercial property management and/or commercial leasing administration experience
- Significant experience in portfolio management, commercial leasing and transactions, property management and commercial lease negotiation property contracts including leases, licences and sale contracts of council assets
- Understanding of the legal framework in developing a head of agreement, understanding of commercial lease clauses and understanding and experience in reviewing a lease/licence agreement
- Experience with instructing a range of stakeholders including valuers, surveyors and solicitors
- Experience with overall portfolio management, managing tenants, leasing queries, debt management, vacancy and budget reporting
- Highly experienced with proven track record of negotiating property and/or leasing transactions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel and Tech One
- Class C drivers licence
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple property projects and leasing transactions
- Proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making capabilities
- Superior communication skills including effective report writing, presentations, facilitation, public relations, and conflict resolutions skills.

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylandsoffice, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 11 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,584.79 to $1,822.51 per week, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role.
