**Community Access, Supported Independent Living - Support Worker**

PPT shifts available Monday - Sunday, includes Active Overnight shifts.

Location: Newcastle, Raymond Terrace, Central Coast area

All About You Supports is a dedicated NDIS provider based in Newcastle, NSW, also serving the Hunter Region and Central Coast area and surrounds. **ABOUT OUR DISABILITY SERVICES**

Our Disability services includes:

- **Residential Care** - we provide people with a safe and secure home environment, led by a team of dedicated, and caring staff
- **In home care** - our experienced staff assist in the home with domestic duties such as grocery shopping, meal preparation, household chores, assisted exercise and paying bills
- **Community Access** - we help clients access the community for educational, recreational, and vocational purposes. In various settings of individual supports, group programs, individual day programs, and respite holidays all around Australia.

**The role**

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Support Worker in this PPT role, to provide personalised care and support for an individual with behaviours of concern, based in Raymond Terrace. This is a demanding role that requires a professional, resilient, and compassionate approach.

Aid participants in cooking, cleaning, shopping, personal care, medications, hobbies and improving quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Providing person-centred support and assistance with daily living activities
- Implementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Documenting incidents and progress notes in a clear and detailed manner
- Collaborating with the Service Coordinator and broader care team to ensure consistent support
- Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and solution-focused attitude

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Minimum 2 years experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong crisis prevention and de-escalation abilities
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Commitment to upholding professional boundaries and ethical standards

**Selection criteria**
- Experience with complex behaviours, essential
- Manual Handling experience, essential
- Certificate 3 Individual support/Disability support and/or experience in disability or allied health, essential
- Mental Health training highly desired, but not essential
- Current First Aid Certificate/CPR Certificate
- NDIS Workers Screening Certificate
- The 4 NDIS Orientation Certificates
- A current valid NSW driver's licence together with comprehensive car insurance
- Thorough understanding of NDIS Practice Standards
- 100 Points of Identification
- Covid 19 Certificate showing at least 2 vaccinations

**How To Apply**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $36.46 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 38 per week
