**People Support**

The People Support Unit is located within the Department for Education (the department), People & Culture Division. The People Support Unit is the first point of contact for employment advice, services and support for over 30,000 employees across our workforce.

We are looking for people who want to make an impact and are committed to world-leading service excellence for frontline Employee Support Officer roles.

The Employee Support Officer forms part of a connected team that provides a customer focussed service to department employees and stakeholders across the employee lifecycle as well as People & Culture programs and initiatives.

The role works in a service delivery environment, providing contact centre and face to face member services. In the role, you will provide People & Culture (human resources) information both verbally and in writing in a timely and professional manner. You will also develop and maintain a practical knowledge of People & Culture (human resources) legislation, policy and procedures.

**Special Conditions**

There is one ongoing full-time (1.0 FTE) opportunity.

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**

ASO2: $57,842 - $62,221 per annum plus superannuation.

- Experience in a high-volume customer service environment delivering excellent customer service.
- Sound verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of customers and an ability to manage multiple customer inputs across multiple channels simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain / organise data and identify potential process improvement opportunities and to communicate these opportunities effectively.
- Ability to prioritize workload and produce work to agreed results within given timeframes.
