UGL has a strategic partnership with the Department of Defence across the Defence Fuels Network for Fuels Management, Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance. We are recruiting an experienced Tank Superintendent, to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in Australia’s Defence environment and support national security requirements of the Nation.

**The Opportunity**

The Tank Superintendent, reporting into the National Operations and Maintenance Manager, will be based in our Defence Hub in North Sydney. Key attributes of the role will be:

- Overall coordination and delivery of a national tank program of works across the Defence Fuel Network (DFN).
- Manage a team to coordinate the scoping, planning and scheduling of a national tank inspection program with in-house Engineering and Operations teams
- Support supplier engagement, procurement and subcontracting of specialist tank inspection and maintenance services
- Engage with Operating teams on-site to coordinate tank inspection periods including rundown plans

**What we are looking for**:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (engineering, project management), or strong industry and trade based leadership experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industry is essential
- Prior experience in managing major tank inspection work, tank repairs and / tank remediation works
- Ability to oversee and coordinate multiple work fronts with support from local regional teams
- Strong coordination and communication skills with ability to effectively present complex information to stakeholders
- Flexibility to travel to various sites across the network (regionally and nationally)
- Current holder, or ability to obtain appropriate defence security clearance
