PERSOLKELLY are seeking an experienced Project Land Access Lead to undertake assessment, engagement, due diligence and acquisition processes to facilitate the land access and tenure needs for an exciting new project.

We are assisting our client based in Bentley who is seeking an experienced Project Land Access Lead to undertake assessment, engagement, due diligence and acquisition processes to facilitate the land access and tenure needs for an exciting new project.
**Location**: Bentley with regional travel required periodically
**Duration**: 12 months
**Start date**: ASAP
**Payrate**: To be discussed depending on experience
**The role**:
- Assist with the development of a project land access and acquisition strategy and pathway and provide input to stakeholder engagement strategy and management plan.
- Undertake due diligence, analysis of options and implement project land access and acquisition strategy and pathway.
- Work with external stakeholders including Shires, government departments, Traditional Owners and tenure holders to progress agreements/consents for land access and tenure as necessary and undertake due diligence in readiness for construction.
- Work with project team and legal to provide advice on land access options, negotiate agreements pertaining to land access and land tenure.
- Conduct small to medium scale market processes as required to ensure value for money.
- Provide project governance and oversight to the project including weekly project status reporting on scope delivery, budget and schedule
- Attend and participate in project meetings, providing updates on land access matters and responding to project requirements to ensure land access aligns to business and project needs,
- Coordinate meetings and engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with Sustainability team to ensure risks and approvals pathways are met through project
- development phases.
- Provide inputs to business cases and Executive updates.
- Build on and maintain established external stakeholder relationships with government agencies, departments, local governments and consultants to deliver land outcomes efficiently and with stakeholder support.
- Maintain accurate records of land related activities including engagement by maintaining land stakeholder engagement register
- Working knowledge of land processes, easements, leases, licences and legal
- and government processes as they relate to land access and acquisition.
- Experience in major project development and demonstrated understanding of
- issues that impact a large resource development
- Experience securing land related approvals and the negotiation of land
- access agreements.
- Ability to coordinate and align stakeholders for necessary
- decisions/approvals.
- Experience working with Traditional Owners, Aboriginal community
- councils and on Indigenous Land Use Agreement
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent organisational and document management skills
- Experience in supporting complex multi-stream projects
