The Compliance and Assurance Officer reports to the Project Manager and works to ensure projects are delivered in line with risk and governance requirements and provides advice on continuous improvement. The Compliance and Assurance Officer will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders throughout the lifespan of a project to ensure its successful delivery. The role requires exercising, under supervision, professional judgement to plan, implement and monitor works to achieve project scope, quality, cost, time, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits.

Transport Services is a Group within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for delivering transport services across all modes that provides a single user interface to the transport network. DTP's Commonwealth Games Transport Integration (CGTI) Division sits within the Transport Services Group. The CGTI Division is accountable for providing transport portfolio wide coordination and integration to deliver a world-class transport solution for Victoria 2026.

**About the Role**

The Compliance and Assurance Officer reports to the Project Manager and works to ensure projects are delivered in line with risk and governance requirements and provides advice on continuous improvement. The Compliance and Assurance Officer will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders throughout the lifespan of a project to ensure its successful delivery.

The role requires exercising, under supervision, professional judgement to plan, implement and monitor works to achieve project scope, quality, cost, time, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits.

**Position Outcomes**
- Project Delivery: Defines work activities required to deliver against outcomes intended in line with agreed timeframes, resources and ways of working
- Quality and Risk Management - Under supervision, exercise professional judgement to anticipate and assess potential project risks and develop necessary mitigation plans.
- Community Engagement - Identifies stakeholders impacted by decisions, takes steps to keep interested parties engaged while managing expectations on outcomes
- Supplier Management - Understands and holds contractors to account for technical, safety and permit requirements.
- Continuous Improvement - Contributes to the development of a team culture of innovation and continual process improvement as well as working collaboratively across teams and with contract partners. Support the management team in the design and delivery of initiatives to promote ongoing learning.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations**.**
