**The Role**:
The Manager, Total Rewards for Newmont is an exciting position reporting into the Head, Global Compensation and Benefits. In the capacity of this role, the successful applicant will be exposed to a diverse range of responsibilities pertaining to the management and execution of the Total Rewards Strategy for Australia and PNG. With a focus on remuneration and benefits, key to our employee experience, this role will develop, implement and communicate the Total Rewards Programs within these two Business Units (BUs). This position is integral to addressing all remuneration issues specific to each BU and wherever possible be the voice of the customer around remuneration and benefits program / needs. Beyond the immediate duties of this senior role, key to success will be the representation of the Australia and PNG BUs at a global level, influencing the global Total Rewards Strategy and the design of global remuneration and benefits programs and processes.

This role will be based in Perth. However, Newmont supports flexible remote working arrangements and accordingly the majority of the work will be conducted remotely with some ad hoc travel to site and other locations when required.

**The role will include**:

- Maintaining remuneration systems that enable our organization to attract and retain talent within the Business Units.
- Ensuring that all compensation programs are developed and administered in a fair, objective and equitable manner in alignment with company values and comply with legal regulations.
- Making enhancements to the remuneration package for the region that follow market prevalent practices which positions Newmont in favorably in the local labor market.
- Driving global projects at a regional level such as Levels of Work implementation, Talent Career Architecture, Long Term Incentive Program expansion, Global Total Rewards Programs
- Managing and overseeing end to end and accurate processing of annual salary reviews and bonus calculations/payments. This includes supporting the Annual Performance Review process and guiding leaders through the process timelines.
- Being responsible for managing our benefits offerings and maintaining relationships with vendors, to ensure providers are meeting the terms of Service Level Agreements, KPI’s and so forth.
- Managing tender processes for benefits providers and the subsequent management / monitoring of all benefits packages ensuring we stay abreast of market trends, thus keeping Newmont in a competitive position in the labor market.
- Building, developing and providing leadership to the Total Rewards team in line with Newmont’s policies and systems.

- You adopt a proactive approach to problem identification and resolution, with a willingness to learn new concepts and practices.
- You take a data driven approach to your work, exercising attention to the detail coupled with strong numerical prowess.
- You communicate well to a diverse audience and bring with you the ability to build good relationships and help foster a collaborative team environment.
- You are technically skilled. HR or Business / Economics related disciplines are preferred.
