**The Company**

Based in South Fremantle our client provides a unique and specialized service to commercial shipping vessels in logistics, port management and supply. Additionally, the organization provides, “freight forwarding” and related services for import and export of container cargo.

The company works across most vessel types from container, bulk carriers, break bulk and tankers. Through an extensive network they have the capabilities to manage all vessel requirements while in port from stevedoring, re supply, bulk handling, tug services, mechanical, customs and quarantine.

**Working Days & Hours**

This is a full-time / permanent role where the following working days and hours will be required.
- **Working Days: 5 Days **Monday to Friday
- **Work Start Times**:Between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM
- **Work Finish Times**: Between 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM
- **Location**: South Fremantle (Close to South Fremantle Café Strip)
- **Parking**: On street parking with good availability for car parks

**The Role**

The Book Keeper role has a focus on invoicing, where due to the nature of the services our client provides most invoices are for Disbursements where our client has brokered and paid for numerous services to vessels covering port costs and vessel supply which is then billed to the client. There will also be standard Book Keeping responsibilities across general ledger, reporting and spreadsheet.

The majority of the work is managed through Reckon / Quick Books, Cyber Freight and Excel with the main responsibilities including;
- **Disbursement Invoicing - Collation of data from numerous sources making up multiple page invoices - 12 to 20 per week**:

- **Standard Invoicing**:

- **Accounts Payable - Reconciling invoices by cross referencing & checking data**:

- **Liaising with in house staff, suppliers & clients for accounts matters**:

- **End of month and quarterly accounts reconciliation & sign off**:

- **Creating monthly reports**:

- **Transfer of electronic banking funds**:

- **Reconciliation of bank statements on general ledger**:

- **Updating client and supplier information on Reckon / Quick Books & Cyber Freight**:

- **Debt collection - Written and Verbal**:

- **Assisting in the day to day operations of the company**

With the help of in-house training, you will develop a very good understanding of the various services our client provides and how each of these services are invoiced generally either disbursements or standard invoicing.

The company utilizes logistics software called “Cyber Freight” and in conjunction with “Reckon / Quick Books” and “Excel” you will be gathering, inputting and cross referencing data onto these systems in order to manage all aspects of the companies accounts.

The role requires a large amount of interaction and collaboration with staff members in order to carry out your duties effectively and been able to contribute positively in a team environment is necessary.

As a minimum, you will have at least 2 years work experience as an Accountant, Book Keeper, Accounts Clerk or similar, with experience across all main aspects of general ledger and accounts which include;
- **Invoicing**:

- **Creating Purchase Orders**:

- **End of month Reconciliation**:

- **Reconciliation of Bank Statements**:

- **Creating monthly reports from P&L, Turnover and Liabilities**

**Remuneration**

This is a fulltime permanent role where depending on experience the following salary package will be offered.
