**About the School**:
Harrisville State School is a small rural school in the Scenic Rim with approximately 50 students. The staff, parents and community are interested and committed to seeing the school have a range of activities that build physically, happy and healthy children. The students enjoy learning and their positive behaviour and engagement reflects the values of the community. The students also enjoy academic, sporting and physical pursuits as well as being part of the school choir.Harrisville State School is committed to the Department's strategic school improvement priorities; Implementation of the P-6 Curriculum Planning Model of the Australian Curriculum in English, Case Management of students to improve their A-E data across the school and Development of Quality Assessment to Inform Teaching and Learning.
We have dedicated staff who work above and beyond to help students achieve success. Our curriculum fully aligns with the Australian Curriculum (ACARA) ensuring that our teaching, learning, assessment and reporting are fully aligned. We provide high quality education that assists students to love learning, develop judgement and a sense of responsibility by understanding the past and preparing to embrace the future. We value collaborative, respectful, open and supportive relationships between students, teachers, parents/caregivers.

**About the Role**:
As the Principal/Head of School/Head of Campus you will have responsibility for the following:
- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
- Deliver the vision of the department
- Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools
- Develop the quality of teaching and learning
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.
