Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
We're on the look out for a Commissioning Coordinator to join our Major Outages team. This key role will be responsible for providing leadership of the hydro plant pre-outage and post-works commissioning. This will see you coordinating and safely leading plant outage isolations, energisation, performance and functional testing to the required quality to maintain availability and reliability of the Snowy Hydro assets for power generation.
You will have the opportunity to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders to provide expertise and know-how in the performance of discrete commissioning tasks, with specific input into the development of master commissioning inspection and test plan (ITP). You will also support the major overhaul and upgrade project delivery teams in the planning and delivery of isolation and commissioning elements associated with their scopes of work. This position will be based in Cooma, NSW with regular travel to our multiple sites across the Snowy Mountains region.

**We're ideally looking for someone with**:
A Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation, Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or a minimum of 10 years industrial experience in heavy industry

A high level of knowledge of commissioning practices

Preferably holds a NSW Qualified Electrical Supervisor Licence

Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiating skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels

The ability to negotiate with, manage and supervise external contractors and consultants with specific experience in new design, build and repair works

The ability to develop, read and understand work scopes, technical specifications and drawings and conceive suitable, efficient and safe methods to complete works

Experience in leading a multidisciplined team

Sound knowledge of Quality, WHS, EEO and Environmental policies, procedures and standards
