Our Client is the leading processor of residential and architectural glass in Australia and is 100% Australian owned and operated.

They currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Planner to join the team in Tingalpa, QLD.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for effectively troubleshooting and correcting mechanical issues, as well as planning maintenance tasks.

This role is also responsible for works to ensure that machinery, plant and equipment are safe, working efficiently and able to carry out their purpose for operations.

**The duties and responsibilities of this role**:

- Preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems, which include working in both electrical and mechanical areas
- Mechanical fault finding, with trouble shooting on automated systems
- Assisting the operation to ensure maximum system availability
- Working towards increasing equipment reliability by continuously improving and initiating processes and support
- Responding efficiently to breakdown conditions to minimise equipment down time
- Contribute and assist in upcoming improvement projects

**To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and attributes**:

- Experience as a Maintenance Fitter
- Experience in Maintenance Planning would be highly regarded but is not essential
- Mechanical trade qualified
- Restricted electrical licence would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
- Strong computer skills
- Self-sufficient with a positive attitude
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Proactive and highly motivated, and the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Previous experience in the glass industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $71,263.60 - $130,751.30 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- Mechanical Trade Certification (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
