**Essential**
Hold a Diploma/Advanced Diploma of Children Services/Degree in Early childhood Education and Care, Primary Education or equivalent.
Demonstrated capacity to lead, co-ordinate and manage the delivery of a service.
Success in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, students and parents.
Demonstrated skills in working with diverse children.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Ability to work within a team and embrace collaborative learning practices.
Computer skills and knowledge of relevant documents, policies and school-based software programs.
Working with Children Check (WWCC) or current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.
First Aid Certificate, including current anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training.
**Desirable**
Previous experience working in a leadership role in a OSHC or childcare setting.
Performs and/or supervises tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice and school policy. This may include the supervision and co-ordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program. Supervision and co-ordination would be limited to ensuring routine tasks are performed to required standards. Input into identifying training needs and development of education support class staff within the work area or educational program becomes an important feature
- **Responsibilities**:_
The Clifton Springs Primary School Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Deputy Co-ordinator will be responsible for the management and delivery of a stimulating, safe and high quality program for primary school aged children.
To fulfil this role, you will be required to:
- Confidently plan, prepare and manage the OSHC Program in accordance with the Quality Practices Guide and National Standards.
- Maintain a Child Safe environment by implementing all relevant policies.
- Recruit, mentor, manage and support staff to carry out their duties and responsibilities.
- Undertake and maintain compliance and documentation requirements during non-contact time.
- Develop and implement program policies and procedures as required and maintain accurate records related to the operation of the service.
- Ensure the inclusion of all children and young people within the service, including those with additional care needs.
- Manage the program budget, including ordering of food and resources, claims for CCS rebates etc.
- Undertake the planning, organisation and preparation of nutritious food for participants.
- Provide regular reports to School Council.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and work hard to build a strong rapport with the Clifton Springs Primary School community.
- Manage promotion of the program within the community, which includes a holiday program during term break.
- Co-ordinate the enrolment of new students.
- Ensure the inclusion of all children and young people within the service, including those with additional care needs.
- Coordinate PRODA and affiliated services such as Child Care Subsidy Service.
- **Who May Apply**:_
- Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the area(s) specified for the position.
- Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.

- **Selection Criteria**_
**SC1** Demonstrate qualification (Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care) experience and skills in co-ordinating a primary school level Out of School Hours Care Program, including program planning and operational activities.
**SC2 ** Possesses technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position including an understanding of the National Quality Framework and Quality Assurance Process for the Quality Improvement Plan.
**SC3 ** Demonstrate strong/sound leadership and organisational skills to plan and implement OR manage a high quality Out of School Hours Care Program.
**SC4** Demonstrate sound communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders including school leadership, students, parents, colleagues, school staff and the wider community with a commitment of excellent customer service.
