**About the market**

We sell into billion dollar infrastructure projects, major construction clients and asset owners like railways, airports, defence and utilities.

The infrastructure construction industry is 14% of the $96T global GDP, and we are expanding to take an increasing share of that $10T+.

We have prospects calling us from Perth to London to Istanbul to Vancouver and we need a talented business management professional to help run the business operationally.

**About you**

You are a proven business management professional with over 10 years experience and success.

You know how to manage people to get the very best out of them. You know how to manage the diverse elements of business, get the balance right and drive growth. You understand the importance of sales and marketing and the front end of the ship.

**About the role**

This is a 100% full time role with full commitment to sustainably scaling a tech company.

**Here’s a snapshot of your day**:

- **Sales, marketing and growth**:

- Keep track of the opportunities and progressions and get validate revenue forecasts.
- Critically analyse and question the critical pipelines for growth and keep the teams focussed on these critical factors
- Help exploit all opportunities of strategic development, deliver increased turnover and profitability.
- Support the sales process through solutions development, participate in presentation and consultation meetings.
- Ensure all contracts/tenders/panels are compliant and moving forward
- Work with the leadership team on areas for focus - from growth to shoring up issues and customers.
- **Financial management**:

- Keep track of the financials - AR, AP and cash
- Manage financial planning for revenue and profit delivery, WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth.
- **Operations**:

- Oversee the teams of production, software, sales, admin, finance and marketing to keep them all focussed and on track
- Be abreast of company processes and procedures and QA to support clear, understand collaborative teamwork
- **Talent management**:

- Provide support, solace and discipline where its needed to maximise the performance of the team.
- Make adjustments to the core and extended team to maximise performances.
- Optimise staffing structure across contracts and balance cost reduction without compromising delivery of excellent service.
- Ensure the team has the skills and motivation to perform their roles to the best of their abilities.
- Build the talent pool of resources for the next wave of growth - across sales, software development, production, advisory and delivery.
- **Leadership**:

- Provide leadership with full responsibility of profit and loss
- Set an example of exceptional quality, innovation and standards.
- **Reporting**:

- Provide exceptional reporting to the Exec Chair, CEO and owner.

**Where is it**:
The role is based in our Melbourne office, at the Paris end next to Parliament. Some WFH flexibility is possible, but you will be in the office mostly, minimum 3 days a week, to link with the Executive Team and work with the CEO and Chair.
