**About the role**:
The Permits Officer will help assess and coordinate permits across the Transport Branch to help make our permits simple for customers to understand, and effective for our compliance teams to enforce. We are looking for an enthusiastic and supportive team member to help us solve operational problems in transport and provide excellent service to Merri-bek customers so that our local streets are managed with care and professionalism.
**Skills and experience require to perform the role**:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assessing permits related to works, roads or public space management.
- An ability to understand and interpret plans and other documentation related to traffic management.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to high quality customer service.
