**About the role**

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an **Assistant Marketing Officer** to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

This role will support and contribute to the development and delivery of marketing activities that align with the NPWS brand across paid, owned and earned media channels to achieve the organisation’s visitor experience objectives

**About You**

As an Assistant Marketing Officer, you will have demonstrated experience in marketing and campaigns to improve customer engagement and achieve set business outcomes.

Your skills and practical knowledge to operate in a complex and high-volume working environment will aid your success in this role. You'll be effectively supporting the marketing team in the development and implementation of marketing activities. Your enthusiasm and motivation to work with others will enable you to thrive and succeed in this diverse, fast-paced role.

**Essential Requirements -**

- A relevant degree / tertiary qualification in marketing, campaigns or related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar environment
- Good understanding of marketing principles and techniques
- Experience supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns, including the use of owned, earned and paid media
- Understanding of digital tools including CMS, CRM, eDMs, social media channels and analytics such as GA4
- Experience coordinating the production of various content types, including copy, images and video.

**About the team**

The Marketing Unit (MU) sits under the Visitor Engagement and Revenue Branch of NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).

MU works to ensure a strategic approach to marketing and communications to raise awareness of NSW national parks and its experiences, increase visitor engagement, encourage safe behaviour in parks and deliver positive results for NPWS (including revenue generation).

MU plans, manages and delivers a comprehensive program of integrated marketing campaigns. The unit also develops creative, innovative and targeted content, providing the necessary assets to be used for marketing campaigns and promotional activities, as well as to maintain an always-on brand presence.
