**Division Responsibilities**

The Regulatory Practice and Support Division is part of the Health Products Regulation

Group. The division is responsible for a number of regulatory functions under the

Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 and specific support services that ensure efficient, best practice

regulatory operations.

**Branch Responsibilities**

The Regulatory Compliance Branch (RCB) undertakes intelligence led, risk-based compliance

and enforcement activities to ensure the import, export, manufacture, supply and

advertising requirements of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989, Therapeutic Goods

Regulations 1990 and the Therapeutic goods Advertising Code (No.2) 2018 are being met.

**Section Responsibilities**

The Compliance Assessment and Monitoring Section (CAMS) is one of 5 sections within the

branch and delivers 3 critical functions including triaging reports of non-compliance received

from the public and industry and monitoring for non-compliance; intelligence activities; and

data analytics and reporting.***

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collection, extraction, collation, and analysis of information and data relevant to the

operations of the Regulatory Compliance Branch, and other areas of the TGA on

request.
- Production of intelligence assessments which contain actionable recommendations

for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collect, use and store intelligence in keeping with established processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of established processes, methodologies

and tools.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships with state, federal and international regulators

and law enforcement agencies.

**Key Capabilities**
- Experience in undertaking intelligence collection and/or analysis.
- Proven understanding of the intelligence cycle; methodologies and tools involved in

intelligence analysis
- Strong research and analytic skills, with the ability to draw sound inferences, identify

problems and solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound understanding of regulatory compliance and how intelligence assessments

contribute to a holistic approach for interdicting non-compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.
