We are seeking a qualified and committed **Recovery Worker** in our **Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPSP)**.

We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including disability, housing and mental health services.

The CPSP aims to meet the psychosocial support needs of people experiencing severe mental ill-health and associated functional impairment, who do not meet the criteria for support through the NDIS.

The CPSP Recovery Worker will provide person-centred, recovery-focused opportunities for participants through outreach and group-based supports. This support aims to increase participants’ personal capacity and confidence, increase social participation and community connection, streamline access to appropriate services, and be responsive support at times of increased need.

**Our Offer**:

- Fixed-term full-time appointment (38 hours per week) until 31 December 2025.
- Salary of $87,106.90 p.a. plus 11.5% Superannuation.
- Salary packaging option up to $15,899 per Fringe Benefits Tax year, with an additional Meals and Entertainment package available up to $2,650 per Fringe Benefits Tax year.
- 15 days paid personal leave per annum (pro rata) for full & part-time employees.
- Paid shutdown leave on standard working days between Christmas and New Year
- 12 weeks paid parental leave.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Relevant tertiary Qualifications in Psychology, Community Development/Education, Counselling or Social Work will be preferred. The minimum qualification for the role is a Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent.
- Extensive skills, knowledge and experience in providing direct and personalised assistance through mental health outreach, providing information and referral as well as monitoring and reporting progress.
- An understanding and demonstrated awareness of strength-based, solution focused and recovery approaches. An understanding of social justice principles.
- Extensive skills, knowledge and experience designing, facilitating and overseeing peer-based groups.
- Demonstrated ability to build supportive and respectful relationships with people experiencing mental illness and significant distress including family members and carers.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to develop strong relationships and trust with people experiencing mental illness, their families and carers.
