**About the Role**:
Teach General English and English for Academic Purposes programs to International students at the Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI). Transform the lives of students by demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity, preparing and delivering dynamic and engaging lessons, and providing targeted feedback.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:
**Qualification**:

- A bachelor or diploma at least three years full-time or equivalent (teaching or other).
- A suitable TESOL qualification or qualification that contains TESOL as a method, including the required amount of supervised teaching.

**Experience/Skills**:

- Experience in teaching and assessment in EAP and General English courses with demonstrated experience in engaging students to develop fluency in English, critical thinking, independent learning and group work skills.
- Evidence of a collaborative work style with the ability to support colleagues and maintain a positive working relationship with all staff and students.
- Experience in the use of Learning Management Systems and integrating technology into teaching practice to support student learning
- Ability to teach online, face to face and hybrid models of delivery.
- Knowledge of current theory and practice of language teaching and how it can be applied in the ELICOS classroom.
- Awareness of the range of issues International students face when undertaking direct entry English language programs.
- A commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development.

**Your key responsibilities will be**:

- To deliver high-quality English language teaching programs that allow students to develop their English language skills for personal, professional or academic purposes.
- Work as part of a team in sharing fresh ideas and approaches and the development of lessons and materials.
- Review curriculum and assessment materials that support the English language programs.
- Demonstrate independent decision making as well as collaborative decision making within the team environment.
