**About the opportunity**:
The Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of leisure and social opportunities in conjunction with clients, families and team members of the healthcare team - this includes program and care plan development, and input into lifestyle expenditure. The role also includes working collaboratively with clinical team members in providing guidance to, for example, Personal Support Workers and Lifestyle Assistants, to ensure clients are encouraged to actively participate in leisure activities of interest to them, and clients’ other needs, such as emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs are also supported.

**Specialist Knowledge**:

- Strong communication skills
- Strong stakeholder marketing experience
- Foster a collaborative culture

**Customer Service**:

- Prompt and courteous interaction with team members and external organisations.

**Team Development**:

- Demonstrate awareness of your own role and respect the roles of others
- Work cooperatively with other team members to achieve team goals
- Demonstrate a commitment to working positively within a team environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to team processes, including participation in team meetings, personal development and social events.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Understand and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement
- Demonstrate knowledge of your own responsibilities with regard to working safely within the workplace health and safety guidelines
- Undertake professional education as directed to maintain knowledge and skills relevant to the organisation and your position
- Complete related duties as required

**Essential**:

- Cert IV or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent
- Police check (current) and statutory declaration that does not preclude working in aged care
- Ability to have empathy with clients and families
- Ability to engage clients, families, team members and the broader community in the delivery of social and leisure opportunities
- First Aid Certificate

**Desirable**:

- Experience in planning, programming and conducting activities in aged care client.
- Sound working knowledge of Accreditation Standards
- Experience in supervising Lifestyle Assistants and working with volunteers
- A current driver’s licence
- Experience in and/or passion for working with people who are living with dementia
- Musical or artistic talents/skills
