Principal Practitioner Clinical Support Unit

The role of the Principal Practitioner, Clinical Support Unit is to ensure the provision of services that preserve community safety by facilitating the effective risk management, supervision and improved rehabilitation of high-risk offenders. The Principal Practitioner, Clinical Support Unit role undertakes, and supervises, the delivery of specialist assessments, operational case management and advice for high-risk offenders in the Probation and Parole system. The role is also responsible to ensure capability readiness for consistent and compliant service delivery.

Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements
- Possession of a relevant human services tertiary degree such as psychology, criminology, justice, social work, health, behavioural or social sciences is required.Possession of post graduate qualifications (or significant progress towards post graduate qualifications) in the relevant area will be highly regarded.Where relevant to an applicant's individual discipline full registration or the ability to obtain full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or equivalent is required. Membership or affiliation with a relevant professional association will be highly regarded.Individuals employed on a permanent or temporary basis are required to successfully complete training, and become accredited, in the completion of Static-99R, Stable 2007 and Violence Risk Scale (VRS) within 6 months of commencement.The incumbent will be required to undertake ongoing training, accreditation, and professional development relevant to the role.The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class licence is required.
