**Joining the Head of Investments as second team member in the Investment team, this role offers broad operational and strategic responsibilities, with high potential to grow and develop (into) the role. It requires a capacity to take ownership, challenge the status quo and continue building efficient processes across the investment value chain ranging from asset liability management to investment planning and monitoring, and support to hedging monitoring and asset manager management.**

**The role will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and other functions within the local business (notably capital, risk and product), as well as other Allianz companies and functions including Allianz Investment Management (AIM) in the US and in Germany, and PIMCO.**

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Role Specific**
- Perform regular asset-liability analysis for in-force and new products, in collaboration with the product, actuarial and capital functions
- Plan and monitor investment income, and provide investment-related input into profitability management discussions
- Prepare monthly reporting incl. for management and Board committees and for regulatory purposes
- Monitor and coordinate daily liquidity management, collateral funding in collaboration with the accounting team
- Support the implementation of Strategic Asset Allocations into investment mandates and monitor compliance of portfolios with asset allocation, counterparty concentration, limits, etc.
- Support the definition and oversee the hedging strategy and implementation, incl. option pricing. Monitor derivatives transactions and hedge efficiency, in collaboration with AIM US
- Keep informed about macro-economic and market events, and provide information to management and board as appropriate
- Provide investment input in projects including new products

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Starting part-time (3 days per week) with potential to expand over time
- Degree in investment, finance, mathematics or related. CFA is a plus
- 5-7 years financial services experience at an investment, middle office, asset liability management, or related role
- Demonstrated general economic and financial markets knowledge
- Experience with Fixed Interest assets and derivatives
- Exposure to Asset Liability Management and capital is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence to positively influence risk behaviours within the company
- Strong commitment to process building and improvements in the investment space
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise and execute to deadlines
- Experience in stakeholder management in a diverse environment
