**The Role**
- Investigating, analysing and reporting on engineering concepts and risks;
- Planning and delivering critical engineering activities;
- Providing advice to stakeholders;
- Mentoring junior members; and
- Enabling good inventory decisions with quality and timely engineering advice.
**About our Team**
Land Explosive Ordnance Systems Program Office (LEOSPO) is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch, which is part of the new Guided Weapons Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Delivery Division. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are primarily located in Canberra and Penrith and our focus is to acquire and sustain Explosive Ordnance for the Australian Defence Force. EMB comprises approximately 560 dedicated employees performing requirements setting; contracting; procurement; international logistics; domestic manufacturing; item management and maintenance, and co-ordination of disposal activities. EMB partners with domestic and international industry to deliver materiel capability to Defence, managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile acquisitions and sustainment activities to support the ADF.

Be a highly proactive and organised Engineer;
Have demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high quality engineering activities, including producing detailed engineering reports and artefacts,
Presenting information and advice to inform executive decision making;
Have a background in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering;
Take the initiative to resolve issues by identifying and developing ideas through analysis of alternative courses of action, whilst identifying their implications and associated risks.
