**What You Will Be Doing**

Peninsula Health Mental Health Service is committed to the principles of Recovery
- Orientated Practice. We actively support and encourage consumer and carer participation in all aspects of planning and delivery of mental health services.
The Hospital Outreach Post-suicide Engagement (HOPE) initiative provides support for people who have either attempted suicide or been identified as at-risk of suicide.
This is a part time position working 64 hours / fortnight.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Experience as a Family Carer Peer Worker
- A personal identification with caring experience of supporting someone through mental health challenges and understanding of recovery that inspires hope and optimism
- Formal or willing to attain qualifications for this role - Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, Intentinonal Peer Support Training, Single Session Peer Consultation, Single Session Family Consulation
- Demonstrated ability and relevant skills acquired through a lived experience of mental illness, in providing a carers experience.
