We are looking for an EAP Clinician to join a growing organisation that values experience and is well respected in the wellbeing industry.

As an EAP Clinician, you will work with your clients to provide short-term solution focused therapy that addresses their current concerns, identifies goals, and supports their journey to improve their mental health and wellbeing. The key focus of this role is to work alongside First Nations clients.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mental health workers have important roles in providing consultation and liaison on cultural safety and security to customer organisations and the team. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mental health workers also have important additional roles in providing peer education on cultural competency, and consultation on specific clients. We are keen to utilise your skills and strengths in counselling and coaching, workplace support and trauma-based work.

This opportunity is part time employment or contract position with flexible hours.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Demonstrated brief solutions-focused intervention skills and desirable experience in critical incident management / trauma interventions.
- Ideally at least 5 years' experience as a Social Worker.
- Eligible for ASSW, police check, WWCC, eligibility for DCSI clearances, current Driver's License and Australian residency are required.
- An understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
- Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent (pursuant to Section 14 (d) of the Anti-discrimination Act NSW 1977).
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the local Aboriginal community and knowledge of the Aboriginal concept of social and emotional wellbeing including and understanding of Aboriginal family structure and Aboriginal culture and wisdom.
