**About the role**

Ballarat Grampians Health is looking for a Menu Monitor to join the Meal Support Services team on a casual basis to provide leave cover as required. This role includes providing high quality food service to our patients and families. This position is allocated to the _Acute and Sub Acute sites_. Primary job requirements involve the provision of Menu Monitoring services to inpatients, but as a Menu Monitor you may be expected to work in various roles within Meal Support Services (e.g. diet kitchen and trolley runner). Weekend work will be a component of this role. You will also support the Dietetic staff to enhance team building and excellence within the Meal Support Services.
- Aiding and supporting patients in making suitable menu choices with their dietary requirements
- Processing the menus to provide accurate orders for the kitchen production.

**Key Responsibilities**
- The menu monitor liaises regularly with the dietitians and nursing staff about patient’s needs.
- This role will also have the successful applicant assisting with other activities, which involve labelling and making supplements, delivering food and/or formula to ward
- Assisting with food storage within a diet kitchen.

**Skills and Experience**
- Knowledge and experience in special diet requirements or a willingness to learn such
- Great communication and people skills
- An accredited certificate in basic food handling.
