**Debating Coordinator**:
Applications are invited for a permanent, part-time Debating Coordinator from 2025 onwards (approx. 0.5 FTE, term-time only). This position is responsible for the coordination and oversight of our student debating program from Year 5-12, including the selection of coaches, supervision of students, team selection, monitoring of both coaching sessions and debates, and the organisation of travel and logistics.
The successful applicant for this role will have an expertise and passion for helping students to develop their debating skills. They will be enthusiastic and innovative, with superior communication skills to liaise with coaches, students, teachers and parents. Strong administrative and organisational skills will be important to ensure the smooth running of a multi-faceted program, including selection of coaches and coordination of their work. Attention to detail is also an essential skill for the effective running of a busy schedule of coaching sessions, debates and competitions throughout the school year. This position requires a commitment to attend inter-school debates at a range of different schools after school hours for the duration of the competitive debating season and has flexible hours for administration.
The successful applicant for this role will also be committed to the full life of the school and supportive of its Christian ethos. Experience with school debating competitions, such as Archdale Debating, Eastside Debating and/or the ISDA competitions, may be an advantage for this role.
