**The Team**

**The Opportunity**

The Team Leader holds a central role in orchestrating the team's efforts to design, build, and support integrations. This role is responsible for overseeing project execution, setting strategic direction, and ensuring alignment with organisation goals. The team leader fosters a collaborative and productive environment, allocates tasks, monitors progress, and resolves challenges. The team leader also acts as a liaison between the team and other teams, ensuring that integration projects meet business requirements and deadlines. Additionally, the team leader provides mentorship, facilitates knowledge sharing, and empowers team members to deliver high-quality integrations, contributing to the efficiency and success of the section.

To excel you’ll have:
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing enterprise integration projects.
- Proven ability to communicate with influence, negotiate outcomes and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Sound knowledge and experience in successfully managing and delivering results within time restraints and with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff while developing capabilities, encouraging career development, and embedding professionalism.
- Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.

Desirable Requirements
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies like C#,.NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, React, Web API, SQL server.
- Familiarity with cloud-based software development tools like Azure API gateways, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Logic Apps.
- Knowledge of IDAM tools such as SailPoint and IDAM standards, such as SAML, LDAP, and OAuth.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Knowledge of integrated security controls in CI/CD pipelines using SAST/DAST tools like Microfocus Fortify.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology.

**Eligibility**
- AEC employees must be Australian citizens.
- Any person who is, and seen to be active in political affairs, and intends to publicly carry on this activity, may compromise the strict neutrality of the AEC and cannot be considered.
- Applicants are required to consent to, undergo, obtain and maintain a character clearance.
- Applicants are required to consent to, undergo, obtain and maintain the Negative Vetting 1 security clearance required for this role.
- Applicants may be required to undertake psychometric testing as part of this recruitment process.
