- As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.**At the moment, this role is focussed on;**:

- Leading the team to productize their work, as well as to develop tools and improve code structure to help our teams build features and conduct experiments efficiently and effectively.
- Working collaboratively with a cross-functional team of UI/UX designers, content designers, product managers, and engineers (including software, QA and data analysts) to achieve various goals.
- Empowering your team to resolve technical issues and work on the balance of a healthy code base vs feature delivery.

**You're probably a match if**:

- You have good technical leadership and are well set in your engineering team leadership journey
- Experience of technical leadership in Front End engineering
- Proven knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML/CSS)
- Are actively able to carry out Front End software engineering to a high standard
- Outstanding software engineering fundamentals and first principles; comfortable contributing to design documents and performing thorough code reviews
- Experience and knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device development
- Worked in impactful and collaborative teams where everyone is able to share their best ideas and be their best selves
- People Leadership experience and growth of teams
- Customer focus and able to collaborate with Product and Design partners on defining use cases and requirements

**About the team
- User Growth, sits within the Growth Supergroup and is dedicated to attracting and keeping users on Canva by increasing content and information across five lenses, being;- Logged Out Homepage, showing those curious about Canva the benefits of the platform,
- Onboarding of new users within their first 7 days, ensuring seamless interactions, and timely in product assistance,
- Frequency of Use, improving the benefits and ease of use of Canva to frequent users,
- Authentication of users to provide trouble free and secure access, and the Viral Growth journey, where we support existing users when championing the benefits of Canva to their peer network.
