Join Ramboll as an Auditor Assistant and become part of a highly skilled team of Auditors and assistants working on some of the largest and most high-profile contaminated land site audit projects in Newcastle and NSW. Through provision of insightful mentorship and guidance, this opportunity is a proven pathway to accreditation, with our current Auditors all previously working as assistants at Ramboll.

You would join a specialised team providing support to four Auditors, working in an office with professionals in contaminated site assessment, environmental impact assessment, urban master planning and due diligence and compliance auditing.

**Auditor Assistant**

Applies advanced/well-developed consultancy and problem-solving skills. Responsible for identifying issues, forming hypotheses and helping with the implementation of change. Will manage larger aspects of the problem-solving process and be responsible for presenting findings and formulating recommendations. Will often help more senior employees to structure the work and manage associates working on the project. Has often gained industry specific knowledge.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Participates actively in client meetings/ discussions and may develop some clients on own.
- Develops significant sections of proposals.

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP
- Designs own assignments and works independently or with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrates mastery of relevant skills.
- Conducts independent technical analyses and may assists in directing technical analysis of others.
- May assist in scoping, conducting, supervising and assigning fieldwork.
- May conduct independent site visits of complex facilities.
- May supervise or conduct computer modeling or inventory development or assist in development of modeling or other tools.
- Develops innovative approaches to solving complex problems in project work.

PROJECT/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Manages small projects or substantial portions of larger projects and delegates and supervises accordingly.
- Trains or assists in training less experienced staff.
- May assist in development and management of project budgets.
- May participate in hiring and recruiting.

CLIENT SERVICES
- Prepares documentation of technical analyses and research.
- Develops significant sections of reports; may oversee report preparation.
- Produces draft client communications; may assist in producing final versions.
- Plays significant or supporting role in client contacts (e.g., making presentations at client meetings or serving as a technical backup, coordinating meetings/ presentations to clients).
- May assist in preparation of papers.
- May participate in seminar presentations to staff or at technical conferences.

**Qualifications**:

The role requires a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in contaminated land consulting in Australia, and a degree qualification in an environmental or related discipline. Experience managing Phase 2 contamination investigations is required, and skills in human health risk assessment, ecotoxicology or hydrogeology would be highly regarded. Strong technical proficiency, appropriate computer skills, strong verbal and written skills and the ability to work with autonomy are required.

Professional certification or licensure within their primary state of residence/operation or professional certification of other disciplines if available and relevant to job function.
