Assistant Venue Manager

**Woods & Co Recruitment **have partnered with the team behind this outstanding hospitality super venue in the heart of the CBD. They are looking to expand, and to expand they need the right leaders to assist They are on the hunt for a astute, capable Assistant Venue Manager to be a part of the team to support the current Venue Manager through pre-opening operations, trade and management of the team.

To be considered for this role you must be an experienced Assistant Venue Manager, a veteran in shaking a few tins, problem solve on the go, manage a big team in a fast-paced venue and have a love of music, fun and most of all be the leader of your team.

You will be a person who lives and breathes the hospitality industry and is well versed in the general operations of a large scale venue, willingness to grow with the expansion and pass your knowledge on through training and development of your team.

**What do you do?**
- Manage and lead your team
- Assist the venue manager with operations
- Strong F&B background and knowledge
- Manage open and closing procedures.
- Money Handling / cash up / change
- Wine and cocktail knowledge preferrable
- Train and develop your team in line with the venue manager
- Assistance with recruitment and training
- Ensure smooth venue operations during service
- Rostering and keeping inline with labour percentages
- Venue maintenance and repairs

**What do you need?**
- At least 2 years experience in a busy multifaceted venue
- Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Weekend availability and willingness to work across a 7-day roster including weekends, and some late nights
- Ability to problem solve and prioritise tasks.
- Fluent written and verbal skills
- Willingness to be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team and lead by example.
- Want to work long term with an outstanding employer and grow with the company
- Must have full working rights
- Experience managing a busy bar
- RSA essential
