As the Communications Specialist, you will be accountable for formulating and executing corporate communication strategies that align with strategic objectives and priorities.

The key focus of the role is to coordinate communication and engagement activities for major projects and initiatives, both externally and internally.

In this role you will:

- Assist with the development and delivery of initiatives for the corporate communication team
- Provide strategic advice, and devise plans to boost, promote, and safeguard the university's brand and reputation
- This 12-month fixed term position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)._

Marketing and Communications (M&C) forms part of the Global Engagement and Partnerships Division at the University of Newcastle. Under the guidance of the University’s Looking Ahead Strategic Plan, M&C leads domestic student recruitment and marketing strategies and international recruitment marketing, drives engagement and storytelling to build the University’s brand and manage its reputation, and helps nurture a sense of pride amongst the University’s community.

**What we offer**:
The remuneration for this position is from $91,259 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
