About the role

From the beautifully landscaped gardens up to the panoramic city views, Calvary Central Park is a contemporary aged care home in Melbourne. The Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant plays an important role in supporting our residents to receive lifestyle programs that meet their individual, social and cultural needs.

Key Responsibilities

As Leisure and Lifestyle Officer’s you will ensure the design, development and implementation of special programs to meet the needs of our residents.

This is a diverse and exciting role that will allow you to use your amazing communication skills to;
Develop and conduct programs tailored to individualized needs

Participate in the organisation of functions

Assess, develop and review care plans for resident’s activities and

Encourage residents towards a higher quality of life through participation of meaningful activities

What you bring

Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) NB not essential if Cert IV Leisure and Health obtained

Cert IV in Leisure and Health or willingness to obtain if successful

Current First Aid Certificate

Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.

Current Covid-19 vaccinations including booster are mandatory unless assessed exempt

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others
