**The role on offer**:
LiSTNR is SCA’s digital audio platform, where listeners can access Australian original podcasts commissioned by SCA’s podcasting team, in addition to a diverse array of existing third party Australian podcasts.

Our podcast producers are a ‘jack-of-all-trades’, with skills in recording, editing, guest booking, writing, talent management, and a variety of audio genres.

More specifically, In consultation with Content Director - Shortcasts the purpose of this role is to:

- Help develop and execute a Shortcast (micro podcast which is maximum 10 minutes in length) content strategy that delivers audience and revenue, in the style and essence as directed by the Content Director.
- Ensure all podcast content meets relevant business requirements before publish.
- Help anchor the shortcast and create short introductions to guests and talent
- Alongside the Content Director, develop and deliver podcast content strategies, topical ideas and execution across genres such as food and drink, lifestyle and entertainment.
- Alongside the Content Director, develop and deliver planning systems and procedures for each show/product/shortcast
- To coach and develop podcast talent
- Episode planning; including arranging guests, pre-interviewing guests and briefing hosts
- Work in conjunction with the Content Director, Digital / Social Lead, Podcast Audio Producer, Publicity Manager and other members of the LiSTNR Australia team in maintaining and executing the content objectives
- Write scripts to an exceptional standard whilst meeting the stylistic requirements of the shortcast genre
- Booking and managing studio and podcaster recording sessions, and editing podcast episodes as required
- Generation of audience engagement through social media platforms including (but not limited to) Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter.
- Ensure series information is submitted and updated regularly in Smartsheet
- To create and upload show notes/description/Audio Files/Ad markers in OMNY
- Develop a set of guidelines for in and out of studio behaviour within the podcast team
- To be involved in all product team planning, client solutions and brainstorm sessions
- Be a driver of morale and synergy within the podcast team
- To consistently keep an outward focus on the local market and monitor competitors’ activities regularly
- Act as a talent scout for LiSTNR original podcasts to build up a talent bank of future podcast talent and producers
- Act as a resource to provide contacts to other producers
- Be aware of and provide input into LiSTNR’s social media strategy and adhering to the policies put in place in the document ‘Social Media Usage Policy - Employees Publishing on SCA Presences’

**Some more of the skills and experience you will need**:

- Strong experience producing compelling and commercial Podcasts
- Experience collaborating with, and managing podcast talent to achieve goals of the business
- An understanding of legal compliance issues relating to audio broadcasts, including the assessment of risk around legal and PR outcomes
- Demonstrated expertise in narrative construction and creative storytelling
- Contributes to creating a team environment which fosters innovation and creativity
- Is able to adapt style/output to optimise results depending on the intended audience
- Excellent communication skills and influencing skills, capable of adopting a range of styles, tools and techniques appropriate to the audience and nature of the information
