About the role

The Casual AOD Support Worker will provide practical supervision, support, and crisis intervention to participants at the Bendigo Bridge Program to help maintain the functioning of the centre.

You will successfully
- Protect the safety and wellbeing of all participants by monitoring and managing the dynamics of participants to provide a safe and positive environment for all.
- Undertake all administrative tasks
- Motivate participants to maintain a neat tidy and safe environment paying particular attention to all common areas.
- Provide “hands-on” practical support to participants to enhance living skills
- Assist with self-administration of medications for all participants.
- Administer and record BAC and urine drug screens
- Participate in group facilitation.
- Transport and support participants with external appointments
- Organise a range of appropriate enjoyable social activities to ensure participants remain actively engaged

We have a number of casual positions available. This role works across a variety of shifts including weekends, public holidays, days, evenings and sleepovers, 7 days per week.

You will have
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A current VIC Drivers Licence
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
