**Position Summary**:
This position is a senior management role within this Aged Care organisation.

The Deputy Executive Manager Care Services in conjunction with the Executive Manager Care Services will be responsible for leading and managing the consolidation, direction, growth and operations of the Integrated and Clinical Services Model covering the Residential Aged Care through capable leadership and change management.

**About the role**:
The Deputy Executive Manager Care Services will establish, lead and manage Clinical Governance and Risk frameworks and activities within and across the organisations services and will be responsible for providing leadership and innovation within the Integrated and Clinical Services Model. The role is responsible for leading the business units of Residential Aged Care, Clinical Services and Group Hospitality.

**Duties**:

- Quality reporting and accreditation status is maintained
- Compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act and any other relevant legislative requirements is maintained
- Ensure budget compliance and strict adherence to the Scheduled Delegations.
- Financial performance of Care Services division is monitored and timely, accurate analysis of budget any variances is provided.
- Audit requirements are completed and submitted on time and in accordance with organisational requirements
- Feedback and complaint management and investigation is acknowledged and actioned within designated timeframes
- Implementation of operational strategies in line with SCC strategic direction
- Funding opportunities are maximised to ensure revenue growth within the Care Services division
- Policy and procedure framework remains current to support staff in their operational roles

**Selection Criteria**:
Essential:

- Tertiary Qualifications relevant to role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a large organisation in the Aged Care Sector
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams
- Contemporary and in-depth knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Act
- Extensive knowledge of Residential and Clinical Care Packages and community funded programs
- Detailed knowledge of funding instruments and models applicable to the industry
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A current and satisfactory National Police Certificate and Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tas.)
