Apprentice Gardener

GARDEN MAINTENANCE APPRENTICESHIP

Waratah Group Services is a well-established business operating for over 20 years with a great reputation providing high quality maintenance services on commercial, government and residential strata properties throughout Sydney.

Waratah Group Services is currently seeking to employ highly motivated individuals to join our commercial garden maintenance division as apprentices. These roles are full time, with leave for TAFE included in the working week.

Responsibilities of an Apprentice include but are not limited to:

- Learning on the job
- Attending TAFE (weekly) to complete Cert III in Parks & Gardens
- Complete general garden maintenance work as requested/guided by the Team Leader - hedging, mowing & edging of lawns, pruning of small trees and shrubs etc
- A range of other relevant horticultural works

The successful applicants will possess the following attributes:

- Attitude to learn and grow as an individual
- Current drivers licence (desirable)
- Experience operating horticultural equipment of varying size (desirable)
- Good time management and communication skills
- White card (can be obtained post job offer)
- The ability to adhere to company WH&S policies ensuring a safe and productive workplace
- A desire to learn about providing a high quality commercial garden maintenance service

The wage rate will be above the award rates for an apprentice.

All books/materials are paid for on successful completion of each year of TAFE.
