Sydney, Australia Great Southern Bank Full time

**About the role**

As Quality Assurance and Calculations Lead, you will establish a quality assurance framework for Great Southern Bank’s customer remediation activities that operates as a key control in our delivery process. This quality assurance framework will ensure that, for any given remediation, we have accurately identified impacted customers and products, and that any exclusions have been correctly applied.

You will create a baseline methodology for financial compensation calculations for remediation that provides guidance on different impact scenarios and products and, when necessary, engage with our second or third line of defence teams on the development of calculation approaches for remediation.

You will provide coaching and mentoring to Data Analysts and Remediation Analysts on quality assurance activities and calculation processes and, from time to time, get involved in the analysis to ensure accuracy of the data outputs produced by the team. Where delivery errors or defects are identified, you will work to strengthen underlying processes and controls to ensure these are not repeated.

As a Senior member of the Customer Remediations team, you will assist in the drafting and submission of financial provisioning papers, ensuring that these are appropriately supported by evidence and that the rationale for the provision is clearly articulated.

**What we’re looking for**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Financial Mathematics and IT/Computer Science
- 5+ years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry, with specific prior experience in remediation data analysis and compensation calculations
- Experience in drafting quality assurance and calculation methodology papers and financial provisioning papers
- Experience in working with a range of stakeholders in relation to remediation, including Finance, Legal, Risk, Data, Audit
- In-depth consumer banking product knowledge

**What’s in it for you?**

We want you to make an impact. You can be part of a growing and innovative organisation, with the ability to influence the people, culture and practices of Great Southern Bank to keep us at the top of our game.

You will be able to make a bigger difference with us While we might be a bit smaller than the majors, your circle of influence is infinitely greater. You will see the immediate results of your work, be recognised for your achievements, and be provided with the support you need to help balance your career.
